DRAWING
Drawing plays an integral part in almost all-visual disciplines. The classes include exercises in free hand drawing from objects, nature, and human figure to study proportion, volume and visual perspective. These exercises are meant to increase the realization of rhythm, relationship between line, form, value and texture. Emphasis will be put on the knowledge of drawing materials and their possibilities fro imaginative drawing.
SCULPTURE
Student learn and explore different aspects of three-dimensional form, principles of balance, space volume relationship and deep understanding of material and the mechanics of sculpture. The manipulation of material usage and ever growing skill & confidence is an encouraged element of our teaching. Students are guided towards the development of their own vocabulary of form and the close and critical examination of other sculptor™s work. They are encouraged to place their works in the internal environment and to coincide its broader relationship with the environment.
PAINTING
The development of painting is taught in the painting course through the use of various media & techniques. The students learn the principle of pictorial composition and are guided towards self-expression & communication through visual Arts. A sense of acute perception is developed through painting from observation. Exercises are carried out with focus on color in nature, landscape still life compositions & portraiture.
PRINTMAKING
Students are introduced to a wide range of printmaking techniques, which include etching, woodcut and lino cut. There is an emphasis on the command of technical skill. The proficient use of diverse media enables students approach to there work and helps to develop personal artistic language.
MINATURE PAINTING
One of the core courses of Fine Arts department is miniature painting where students are prepared to develop their skill in the traditional style of painting. In a way it is also an endeavor on part of the academy to carry on this traditional heritage in its best possible and purest form with emphasis on the traditional technique.
DESIGN
Design, like art, is a human response to various needs and desires. Factors motivating design range from the common needs for food, shelter, clothing and communication to the most esoteric desires of esteem and self-realization. Design is a force that historically reflects both individual interpretations, conditioned by changing environments and the restraints of materials and technologies of the time. The main objective of this course is to understand the processes of from synthesis and the development of visual vocabulary. The basic purpose through the first year will be to progressively enhance the students aesthetics concerning design, whether it is Graphic Design, Typography, Photography, Ceramics or Sculpture. Once the importance of the elements of design is understood, this becomes the basis of any art form. Exercises fare meant to sharpen the skill of a designer (sketches, lines work, color and darkroom usage, etc.) as well as to enable him / her to shift through and form a strong designers eye. All this practical knowledge will be backed by a comprehensive history of design and designers.
GRAPHC DESIGN
Graphic design provides students with principal of design & typography to corporate communication, interactive multi-media & publications.
Emphasis is on process, analysis & development of creative & challenging solutions thus the students are able to produce complete advertising campaigns.
PHOTOGRAPHY
This course provides students a general training in photography covering principles of design & professional photography. Thus students learn to plan, compose and optimize images captured for printing projects.
TEXTILE DESIGN
Textile design is one of the biggest courses designed to equip the students with the knowledge, skill & methodology to function successfully as a designer in the textile industry. Courses are designed to achieve creative problem abilities. The emphasis is placed on the quality of design in relation to the product through the application of colors, design history and rich traditional history. Different techniques of textile designing like screen-printing block printing tie & dye, batik, and weaving in traditional way along with study of vegetable dyes to enhance awareness of nature & indigenous materials.
CERAMICS
This course covers all the areas of ceramics, like pinch, coil, slab and wheel methods, though it is offered as a minor but it enables the students to realize their potentials as an individual designer and to provide an educational experiences and challenges to stir their creative juices.
PRODUCT DESIGN
Product designers special privilege is to imagine, to recollect, to think and to feel in forms. For activates feelings. Form is not merely a play with abstraction, a communication of pleasure by the skillful manipulation of proportions, intervals and other geometrical elements. It is the recognition of the fact that we are what we create, use and treasure that underlines the real value of thee designs.
